The wrap-around shoe is the preferred safety solution for professional ladders and stepladders (such as Tubesca, Centaure, Hymer…)

Unlike an internal insert (which slides into the tube), the “slip-on” shoe wraps around the outside of the profile.

This design offers dual protection:

1. It protects the metal: Your ladder foot is no longer in direct contact with the ground, preventing wear on the aluminum.
2. It improves grip: The contact surface on the ground is often wider and the shoe is better anchored to the ladder, preventing it from “popping off” when you move the stepladder.

IMPORTANT: How to Measure and Order the Correct Shoe for a Ladder or Stepladder

Do not order at random! For a WRAP-AROUND shoe, you must measure the OUTSIDE dimensions (dimension A x dimension B) of your aluminum or steel tube.

1. Clear the profile: Remove the old shoe if it is broken.
2. Measure the outside: Using a caliper (ideally) or a precise ruler, measure the width and the depth outside the tube.
3. Order the corresponding size: A boot of “50x20mm” is designed to fit over a tube measuring 50x20mm on the outside.

• Pro Tip: On a stepladder, the front legs (step side) and rear legs (support side) often have different profile sizes. Remember to measure both!
